Buckthorn Slayers at Minnehaha Park
Saturday, September 27 is a national day of service, with our partner and sponsor, Minnesota Master Naturalist. Naturalists and volunteers from all around the area volunteer at local parks, trails and natural areas to contribute to restoration, water quality and beautification efforts.
Our focus will be buckthorn and other invasive removal. We’ll have tasks suitable to a variety of skill levels. You’ll be helping to protect native plants and restore the natural environment and views at the park. It’s a good way to connect with great people who love their community and the park, and to make a difference, and the sights and sounds of the glen by Minnehaha Creek are an additional bonus.
