  • Wabun Picnic Area 4655 46th Avenue South Minneapolis, MN, 55406 United States (map)

Join us for a walk below the falls at Minnehaha Park with our volunteer naturalist to discover late summer blooms, birds and bugs.

With naturalist Dave Crawford as your guide you’ll see things you missed before. Don't miss out on this chance to learn about nature and explore the beauty of Minnehaha Park.

The planned walk is approximately 1 and 1/2 hours on a variety of surfaces and elevations. Free. Space limited. Registration required. Sponsored by Friends of Minnehaha Park. Register here.

Don't use google maps on your phone with the address listed on this post. Instead link to directions to the free lower level parking lot at Wabun Park, where the walk begins: https://goo.gl/maps/C9u6SRAG5DUaQBTP7

Or follow these directions. From 46th St E and 46th Ave S, follow the signs to Veterans Home and take the right fork at the stone Wabun Picnic Area marker. Parking lot is on the left, before you get to the Vets Home.
